On My Way
03:57

Three year
I've found it all again
on late night drives
I'm lost inside my head
the story is coming out
laced boots and leather skin
You call me on the phone
say you love me again
and how I can I resist
you're written on my skin
I'm on my way
As the evening wanes
I open my eyes
this story is all I know
I've carved it in the bark
so when September comes
I can find you again
You call me on the phone
to say you love me again
a late night drive
I'm lost inside my head
But when your sister called
did you know it'd be this long?
When I am half in love with everyone I know
So when I'm climbing up your stairs
I've got your song stuck in my head
Because whatever fortune brings I will learn to accept
I'm on my own

Battled back a pessimist
to placate expectation
but I didn't change a thing
tried to learn the difference
between change and fleeting inference
when I choose not to believe
but that's me
Just lost in expectation we never stop to reach the root
when everything is tangled up
can't help but think that maybe
we spoke too soon
Words define the distance and
they shade the grays indifferent
while we move right along
but I'm sick of all this distant change
and the numbers just keep coming in
and I choose not to believe
and that's me
I just choose not to believe

Its a Crime

When I wake up
I plant my feet on the ground
step out the door
and feel the air
summer has come
and I'm coming down
if you close your eyes
the spinning world starts slowing down
in a sea of red
and rolling greens
spring has come
and I'm coming down
Oh my love
I can see it now
for the way it's been
we just wait our whole lives
like its a crime
to call it quits

Show Me
04:55
|
|||
Me and my friends
We're just waiting for relief
Just waiting for some peace
To come
and In the pre-red dawn
I will find a way
I will claw my way
back in
So take me out back
and show me
where to go
When I come undone
When I start to spin away
I will picture your face
and I will hold on.
and in the cool morning air
as soon as I'm awake
I will slip away
I'm gonna leave you.
So take me out back
and show me
All my days I've been rearranged
But I'm still unsure
of whats enough?
and what is enough?
so take me out back and show me
what I've done

Seasons
04:30
|

City summer is dethroned
my senses change
they rearrange
they fold
Just grasp this past year by its throat
its pen thick skin, its all I've ever known
Well the seasons change like nothing else
and my secrets grow, its show and tell
and I show
Or does it show?
Well the tea is cold I've told it all
I spilled the paint
I just let it fall awry
so its three months clean to fix it all
its a ladder climb its slow trust fall
to breath
to let it go
So show me how to grow my love
just show me how to know myself enough
Well enough is enough, I know myself
and I've seen the change like no one else has known
so just let me fade from what I've known
my reflection's changed, its growth
I grow, I grow
I've been dancing in the dark
I've been living in my dreams,
I know, I know
